Making History
Innovation is in our DNA. Our businesses have been at the forefront of pioneering new technologies since their creation. Master Lock invented the world’s first laminated steel padlock in 1921. Moen invented the world’s first single-handle faucet in 1947, allowing consumers to easily adjust tap water temperature. LARSON produced the first wood core storm door in 1966, and in 1983, Therma-Tru introduced the first fiberglass door, giving the public an energy-efficient and durable door option.
We are proud to continue this tradition of innovation. Moen is leading the way in digital water innovations with the Moen Smart Water Network. Master Lock introduced its Bluetooth padlock in 2016, the first security specialist to unveil a padlock with keyless entry, shared access and no numerical codes. LARSON launched its Scenix porch windows with Screen Away retractable screens in 2017, an industry-first in outdoor living. Our legacy of innovation inspires and drives us to continue pioneering new products that excite and meet the needs of our customers.
